Effective September 9, 2026. Last updated September 9, 2026.
This notice describes the limits of what Clarity Space can do while it is in beta. It is written against what the software actually does, and it says plainly where the platform depends on systems we do not control.
Clarity Space LLC (“Clarity Space,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is currently offering the Clarity Space platform to you (includes family members) in a beta testing phase. The platform is under active development and may contain errors, omissions, delays, interruptions, synchronization issues, or other limitations.As part of the Beta testing program – Clarity Space LLC may effect upgrades/changes during this testing phase – in an effort to improve the offering for in-field use and effectiveness.By agreeing to use and become part of the Beta testing period for the Clarity Space in-field evaluation sequence, you acknowledge and accept the current and changing (if applicable) limitations described below.
1. Clarity Space is a supplemental organizational tool
Clarity Space is designed to help students and families organize and view academic information in a simplified, easy-to-read format, presented in a single dashboard configuration.
Clarity Space is not a school, learning management system (“LMS”), academic advisor, teacher, tutoring service, or official source of academic records, assignments, grades, deadlines, or requirements.
Clarity Space is intended to supplement—not replace— your school's official LMS, teacher communications, school announcements, course materials, syllabi, calendars, email, or other official school resources, but is however a platform which will (based on the limitations of teacher recorded information) – provide an easy-to-use single dashboard view of all available student related pertinent data/information.
Your school's LMS and direct communications from your school and teachers should always be treated as the authoritative source for academic information.
2. Third-party and LMS information
Clarity Space has been created to retrieve, organize, display, or otherwise process all available information originating from a student's third-party systems, including Canvas and other learning management systems – but is limited to information provided in the LMS/Canvas system utilized by individual students.
Clarity Space does not create, control, approve, or independently verify information entered into these systems by schools, teachers, administrators, students, or other third parties.
Accordingly, as Clarity Space obtains information provided by teachers in the student's LMS/Canvas profile, we do not and cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, availability, or timeliness of assignments, grades, due dates, test dates, announcements, course materials, links, calendars, or other academic information originating from an LMS or other third-party source.
3. Synchronization, display, and technical limitations
Information displayed in Clarity Space may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, incorrectly categorized, unavailable, outdated, or different from information appearing in the school's official LMS.
These differences may result from circumstances including:
• synchronization delays;
• LMS or third-party outages;
• scheduled or unscheduled maintenance;
• API restrictions or changes;
• expired, revoked, invalid, or otherwise nonfunctioning API credentials;
• connectivity problems;
• changes made by schools or teachers;
• incomplete or inaccurate information entered into the LMS by teachers, school staff, etc.;
• software bugs or errors; or
• circumstances outside Clarity Space's control.
Clarity Space cannot guarantee that every assignment, deadline, grade, announcement, attachment, link, calendar item, or other piece of information contained within an LMS will be successfully retrieved, synchronized, updated, or displayed.
4. LMS maintenance, outages, and scheduled downtime
Schools, school districts, Canvas, and other LMS providers may periodically place their systems into maintenance mode or schedule system maintenance, updates, upgrades, or other periods of limited availability.
During LMS maintenance, scheduled downtime, outages, or other periods when the LMS or its API is unavailable or operating with limited functionality, information displayed in Clarity Space may not be accurate, complete, or current.
Clarity Space does not control the timing, duration, availability, or functionality of third-party LMS maintenance periods or outages.
Information added, removed, modified, or updated by a teacher or school staff during or around a maintenance period may not immediately appear in Clarity Space. Synchronization may also take additional time after the LMS becomes available again.
Users must consult the school's official LMS and school or teacher communications before, during, and following scheduled maintenance or an outage to verify assignments, deadlines, grades, tests, announcements, and other academic requirements.
Clarity Space is not responsible for missed assignments, deadlines, tests, announcements, grade changes, or other academic information resulting from LMS maintenance, outages, synchronization delays, or third-party system availability.
5. API keys, access tokens, and expiration
Clarity Space may require an API key, access token, or other authorization credential provided through or generated by the user's LMS in order to retrieve academic information.
API keys and access tokens may have a limited period of validity or may expire, be revoked, disabled, reset, restricted, or otherwise stop functioning. The duration and availability of an API key or access token may be determined by the school, school district, LMS provider, or other third party and is outside Clarity Space's control.
Users are responsible for maintaining a valid connection between their LMS and Clarity Space.
If assignments, grades, course materials, announcements, or other school information appear to have stopped updating in Clarity Space, users should:
1. Check the school's official LMS for the most current information.
2. Check whether the LMS is undergoing maintenance or experiencing an outage.
3. Verify that the API key, access token, or other authorization used to connect Clarity Space to the LMS remains active and valid.
4. Reconnect or update the LMS authorization when necessary.
Do not assume that Clarity Space is fully synchronized simply because the platform remains accessible or previously displayed information is still visible.
Clarity Space does not guarantee that it will detect, identify, or notify users when an API key or access token expires, becomes invalid, loses authorization, or otherwise stops providing current information.
6. Users must monitor whether information is updating
Students and parents/guardians are responsible for monitoring their Clarity Space account and determining whether academic information appears to be updated properly.
If information has not changed when expected, appears outdated, or otherwise seems incorrect, do not rely on the information displayed in Clarity Space. Immediately check the school's official LMS and verify the status of your API key, access token, or LMS connection.
The continued display of previously retrieved information does not mean that the information is current or that synchronization is functioning correctly.
7. Always verify important academic information
Clarity Space should never be used as the sole source for determining academic responsibilities, assignments, deadlines, grades, tests, projects, or other school requirements.
Students and parents/guardians remain responsible for regularly reviewing the school's official LMS and communications from teachers and school administrators.
Users should independently verify important academic information through the school's official systems regardless of whether Clarity Space appears to be operating normally.
8. No guarantee that items will be captured
Although Clarity Space is designed to make academic information easier to organize and understand, we cannot guarantee that every item posted, changed, deleted, or updated within an LMS will appear in Clarity Space or appear within any particular period of time, as specific information entered into the LMS/Canvas platform may be in an unreadable (by Clarity Space) format.
The absence of an assignment, deadline, test, announcement, grade, or other item from Clarity Space does not mean that the item does not exist or is not required.
Similarly, information remaining visible in Clarity Space may have subsequently been modified or removed within the official LMS.
9. User responsibility for coursework and deadlines
Students remain responsible for knowing and meeting their academic obligations, including completing and submitting assignments, preparing for examinations, meeting deadlines, reviewing grades, and following instructions provided by teachers or schools. Clarity Space provides a “Notes” section to allow students to enter data verbally provided during class into the platform for reference and use.
Clarity Space LLC is not responsible for missed assignments, missed deadlines, missed tests, late submissions, incorrect submissions, grade reductions, academic penalties, or other consequences arising from information that is missing, inaccurate, delayed, outdated, unavailable, or not synchronized within Clarity Space.
10. No guarantee of academic results
Clarity Space provides organizational assistance only. We do not guarantee improved grades, academic performance, assignment completion, attendance, educational outcomes, or any other particular result from use of the platform.
Use of Clarity Space does not transfer responsibility for a student's academic obligations to Clarity Space LLC.
11. Beta software
By agreeing to participate in this Clarity Space Beta Test – you understand and agree to the fact that during the beta period, features may be added, modified, suspended, disabled, or removed.
The platform may experience bugs, errors, interruptions, downtime, synchronization problems, loss of connectivity to third-party systems, or other unexpected behavior.
Users should maintain direct access to their school's official systems and should never rely exclusively on Clarity Space for time-sensitive or academically significant information.
12. Third-party services
Clarity Space may interact with or depend upon third-party platforms and services that are not owned or controlled by Clarity Space LLC.
The availability and functionality of Clarity Space may therefore be affected by changes, restrictions, maintenance, API modifications, outages, errors, security requirements, authorization changes, or other actions involving third-party services.
Clarity Space LLC is not responsible for the operation, availability, content, policies, functionality, or performance of third-party platforms or services.
13. Limitation of reliance and responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Clarity Space LLC is not responsible for losses, damages, academic penalties, or other consequences resulting from reliance upon incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, outdated, unavailable, incorrectly displayed, or unsynchronized information.
This includes, without limitation, consequences associated with:
• missed or late assignments;
• missed examinations or quizzes;
• incorrect or changed due dates;
• missing announcements or teacher communications;
• grade changes or academic penalties;
• LMS maintenance or outages;
• synchronization failures or delays;
• expired, revoked, invalid, or nonfunctioning API keys or access tokens; and
• errors, omissions, or interruptions involving third-party systems.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits any responsibility or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
14. User acknowledgment
By accessing or using Clarity Space during the beta period, you acknowledge and understand that:
• Clarity Space is a supplemental organizational tool and not an official academic record;
• your school's LMS and communications from your school and teachers remain the authoritative sources of academic information;
• information displayed in Clarity Space may contain errors, omissions, delays, or outdated information;
